(May 7, 2021)
Torklift is currently open for business. We will continue to operate as an essential business serving our customers including our surrounding police departments, fire and ambulance, city government vehicle/transportation systems unless these designations change in the future. Regular updates will be listed here.
Required personnel only will be on site at our facilities maintaining operations while exceeding current CDC work space and sanitation guidelines. Please bear with us due to many personnel working from home during this time which can lead to a disruption in communication response time.
There are no known cases of COVID-19 reported by our staff and or their immediate households.
If you are calling us:
Please be aware that many of our staff are working from home during the shelter in place order from our state government. As a result we are using an emergency phone system. If you call you may notice that it rings quite a few times and the phone may not be answered right away. Do not be alarmed - we are experiencing technical difficulties that we are working through. Please be assured that if your phone call does not get answered right away, all missed calls are being returned immediately - whether a voicemail is left or not. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our current practices:
A dedicated employee at each location is responsible for sanitizing common areas, doors, door knobs, machinery, etc. Each on site employee is also sanitizing their work space on a regular schedule throughout the day.
We are closely monitoring each employee's health, and all employees have agreed to alert us to any possible family members who are sick or have been exposed. Employees who may report symptoms will be asked to stay home in accordance with CDC guidelines for employers.
Currently six feet of separation is required. At Torklift we social distance by approximately ten feet of separation or more.
At our retail store:
For customers at our retail division we are offering no-contact pick up and delivery of vehicles in some locations. This means our team uses disposable seat covers and safety gear and disinfects the vehicle interior before pick up and after drop off as well as any door handles and control mechanisms required in the operation of the vehicle. All keys are also sanitized at pick up and prior to return.
Our team wears latex gloves when coming into contact with vehicles. Gloves are in abundant supply for our employees.
As further guidelines become available from the CDC, Torklift will continue to work to exceed them.
For online orders:
Our team is working to get orders out as soon as possible. We will remain open and operating with limited personnel only for as long as we maintain the ability to operate as an essential business. If you have questions about the status of your order, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. This email address is monitored daily and ALL inquiries will be responded to. Please understand there could be a delay in response and please remember, Torklift has always taken care of their customers and always will.
Customer Service and Technical Support:
Due to the nature of social distancing and the requirement for many employees to work from home, our phone system will be in the process of switching over to an emergency response system which means our teams will still be answering the phones but there is a possibility that hold times could be slightly higher and it may require customers to leave a voicemail but please remember, all calls will be returned as quickly as possible. We have prepared for this moment in time that we are all facing and we believe we will be able to help all of our customers.
Please take care of yourselves and your families,
Your friends at Torklift
