The EcoHitch hits the sweet spot for price and design. Now that Toyota OEM hitches are running $475 the EcoHitch is cheaper while still providing clean aesthetics, good clearance and a much simpler installation procedure. I strapped the tongue of the hitch to my floor jack and was able to lift it into place with minimal repositioning. The tailgate kick sensor still works as well as before (not always great in the first place) without modification. The whole installation was about an 1.25 hours by myself. The fit is excellent. The only comment relative to the provided instructions is that the suggested cutout of the fascia panel was about .25" longer/higher than it really needed to be, but still looks clean and attractive. I chose to use a .375" spade bit to round the inside corners at the top of the notch to avoid future tearing of the fascia if the corners were left sharp.

I just finished the hitch receiver installation

I just finished the hitch receiver installation on my new '24 RAV4 Hybrid LE AWD. I was able to do this by myself in an hour. I neither raised the vehicle nor lowered the exhaust. I guided the receiver wings above the exhaust, then used a hydraulic jack to raise the hitch receiver slowly as I steered the wings into position for the bolts. Prior to this, I checked the threads in all four places with a bolt to insure they weren't damaged. Torquing the driver side bolts to 70 ft/lbs was not a problem, but the passenger side is pretty restricted. I'm waiting on a 3/4" thin crowsfoot socket to torque that side. I didn't trim the bumper.

I first found out about this hitch from a You-tube video by Alexonautos. He made the installation look so easy and it actually was as easy to install as the video showed. I looked up this website then called Torklift to verify that I was ordering the right part.
I ordered the hitch the following morning and received it in less than a week. The hitch was well packaged and when I took it out of the box I was impressed with how solid and well built it was. The directions that came with the hitch were easy to follow and pretty much as the video I saw. I didn't have anyone to help me lift the hitch into place but I found that progressively stacking blocks of wood under the hitch until it was close to the mounting holes made the job easy enough to do by myself. I found that installing the 2 forward bolts first then pivoting the hitch up place the 2 rear bolts worked out well for me and the fit was perfect!
The installed hitch looks so good I'm sure that most people would think that it came with the vehicle. The Toyota hitch was more expensive and the installation looked like a nightmare.

The Eco hitch fits and looks great. I was going to buy the OEM Toyota sold but they did not ship for free which ultimately would have cost much more than the Eco - I am SO happy I chose the Eco! The factory hitch required removing the bumper and cutting sections out - so glad I did not buy the OEM hitch. The local Toyota dealer wanted $285 for install! The Eco hitch mentions to cut a very small portion out and it was not necessary on my 2019 RAV4 hybrid. Two of my friends installed it in about 45 minutes and tucks under the rear bumper nicely. I did not have to cut anything out of the rear bumper. Super happy with the hitch and worth it. I use the hitch for a bike rack only for now. The Eco hitch is very high quality and I cannot say enough that it looks great and works well!

When I was looking for a hitch to put on my 2020 RAV4, I wanted one not just to serve it's practical purpose but one that also looks great! I wish I could provide pictures to further show just how fantastic it looks. I love the way everything sits up underneath the car, providing a clean look, while also ensuring ground clearance is not affected. The hitch was easy to put on. We unclipped the exhaust from the hangers, but I'm not sure that we even needed to do that. I'm pretty sure we could have left the exhaust alone. You do need to cut some plastic out so the receiver has a place to protrude through. That wasn't difficult at all. Don't worry about that looking tacky either. You can't even see where you cut it. It's all hidden underneath the car. Also, to my surprise, the hitch came with a mounting bracket to hold the wiring harness (you have to purchase a wiring harness separate), so that was an added bonus. At the end, you will need a torque wrench to torque down the bolts correctly. The instructions come in black and white so they're a little difficult to read, but between them and the instructional video, the installation of this hitch was not difficult at all. Thankful to have found a product that's well built and looks fantastic!

Install is 4 bolts, hitch is very secure and lines up perfect to the factory frame holes. Couldn’t ask for anything more. 15-20 min install, I had no need to lower my exhaust, just trim the lower plastic a bit, done. If you're on the fence go ahead and buy one. Anyone can install this product themselves.

I was deciding between a Curt, Factory (Toyota OEM), and Eco. The Eco hitch fits and looks great. I didn't want the curt because it hung too low and looked gross. The factory hitch required removing the bumper and cutting sections out. The Eco hitch mentions to cut a very small portion out and it wasn't necessary on my 2019 RAV4 hybrid. Install was about 20 minutes and tucks under the rear bumper nicely. I didn't have to cut anything out of the rear bumper. The plastic bumper on my 2019 just had to be pushed up a little (roughly 1/2")... no biggie and the hitch is tucked up and looks excellent. Ground clearance is unobstructed and doesn't take away from the looks of the rear exhaust with some ugly hitch wart hanging out. Super happy with the EcoHitch although a bit pricy... a permanent fixture... so worth it. I use the hitch for a bike rack and plan to use it for a tear drop trailer for camping. The paint, fit, and finish of the hitch is excellent (best I've seen so far). I've installed four curt hitches on past vehicles over the last 4 years... no serious complaint but the Eco is several steps above in quality... the paint on the eco is super durable and the welds are perfect.

The 2" Eco Hitch was easy to install with my car ramps. I did not have to drop my muffler for the install. Very well built and a super clean install. Only minor trimming is necessary. Looks factory, maybe better since Toyota does not offer a hitch for the new RAV Adventure Series.

Very happy with the entire experience and shipping was fast.
