Customer Reviews
Having an external cargo tray on the Volt is a game changer for utility, camping, and more. Allows me to take stinky trash to the dump without putting it in the car. Pulls 1600# trailers easily, but much more weight than this properly distributed will make the Volt get pretty nose-light. You will want a decent drop on your draw bar to get most trailers to be level-ish. Very little efficiency loss if its just a cargo tray hidden from the airflow behind the car. Pulling a trailer could wreck your efficiency of course but there is nothing that this product could do to change that.
The template for the bumper cut out is too small. This makes it physically impossible to hook to the safety chain loops. I opened the bumper cutout more on the lower edge, but it still was not enough. I ended up welding on two large chain link rings so I can actually put on safety chains without fishing into a deep dark hole.
